Overview
The problem we solve
Off-the-shelf NFC stickers are built for indoor environments. They often don't work on metal surfaces, and they're easily damaged. Outdoor tags, on the other hand, are rugged, but you lose the ability to brand and customise them.
Off-the-shelf tags are also usually sold with weak double-sided tape, and are easily removed from their target location.
Our answer is to make use of 3D printing technology to solve all of these problems at once. We make a rugged, UV-resistant, heat-resistant NFC tag designed for outdoor (and indoor) use.
The tag is branded by printing your logo or design physically part of the tag itself, in discrete colours. Because the branding is fused into the tag, it can't peel or scratch off. The front textured surface finish also hides medium scratches and marks.
Every tag has an on-metal NFC inlay that works on metal surfaces. Each tag also ships with industrial, high-strength mounting tape.

- 01
Branding
ABS3D-Printed as part of top plate using multi-color 3D printing. We swap filament mid-layers so the colour is fused into one continuous piece of ABS. No ink or stickers are used. Up to four discrete colours per tag, matched to the coloured ABS we have in stock.

Top plate
ABSThe structural outer face, printed in ABS plastic, This is the visible face when tag is mounted.

NFC inlay
On-metalAn on-metal NFC inlay. Enables tag to work on metal surface with the same performance as on non-metal surfaces.

Backplate
ABSCloses the body around the inlay. It's solvent-bonded to the top plate. The two halves chemically weld into one sealed, waterproof piece.

Mounting tape
Industrial VHBIndustrial strength double-sided tape, VHB (Very High Bond). Sporting 50 NM holding force. Enables peel-and-stick secure mounting.
Branding
How branding works
Your logo or design is 3D-printed as part of the tag, not a sticker or ink on top. We swap filament colours mid-print so the design is fused into one continuous piece of ABS. The branding can't peel, scratch, or wash off.
Limitations
- Up to four discrete colours per design with solid colour areas, not photographic images or gradients.
- Colours are matched to the coloured ABS we keep in stock, we strive to match as closely as possible.
- Fine detail is bounded by print resolution, very thin lines or tiny details will not printable.

Can you brand the tags with my logo ?
Yes, the whole idea behind this product being: Rugged tags, with your branding.
Will these work on a steel gate or aluminium panel ?
Yes. Every tag uses an on-metal NFC inlay. Read range stays at the standard couple of centimetres even mounted directly on steel or aluminium.
How do they mount ?
Industrial double-sided tape is fitted to each tag allowing simple peel and stick. 24 Hours after mounting full bond strength is reached and tags are almost impossible to remove non-destructively.
How long do they last outdoors ?
Our tags are designed for multi-year outdoor service in full exposure to the elements.
What's the minimum order ?
MOQ of 50 units for customer branded tags. No MOQ for ELECJ branded tags.

We provide a digital render of your design before production starts.
What's the lead time ?
